Crimple Head & Meifod Dispersal CCM Skipton played host on Saturday to the Complete dispersal sale of the Crimple Head flock from Richard Wilson, Beckwithshaw, and the dispersal of the adult female portion of the Meifod Flock from Gareth Jones, Henllan, Denbigh.

Total clearance and top calls of 6,000gns and 5,000gns at CCM Skipton Texel dispersal double header A Texel dispersal sale double-header at Skipton Auction Mart on behalf of two renowned award-winning pedigree holdings - Richard Wilson and family’s Crimple Head flock in Beckwithshaw, Harrogate, and the Meifod flock from Gareth Jones and family in the Vale of Clwyd, North Wales – proved a resounding success for both parties, with several standout highlights. Chapman Continentals champions again at Skipton gimmer lamb highlight Yorkshire Dales sheep farmer Owain Chapman successfully defended the Continental gimmer lamb title he won for the first time the previous year at Skipton Auction Mart’s latest annual store lamb show and sale day. (Wed, Sept 9)

Robert Price claims 1,500gns top price at Skipton Jacob highlight A top call of 1,500gns was seen at the Jacob Sheep Society’s 45th annual Northern Area sale at Skipton Auction Mart – and it fell to one of the breed’s best-known names, Welshman Robert Price, who runs the Pentre flock in Churchstoke, Powys. (Sat, Sept 5) His January-born 4-horn twin ewe lamb by the Scottish-bred Kinloch Franco, out of an Edingale dam by Blackbrook Don’t Push It, found a new home north of the border when falling to Ewen McMillan, who runs Luruha Jacobs near Glasgow.

Kevin Evans top dog again with two five-figure sales at Skipton Donal Mullaney sets new world record price with unbroken pup for second time A brace of leading five-figure calls and yet another new world record price for an unbroken puppy were established at Skipton Auction Mart’s second virtual working sheep dog sale this month – and, like the first online fixture in July, hitting the headlines again were the same vendors.
