CCM Auctions held their Annual Multi Breed Rams & Females Sale at Skipton Mart.

A very busy day at Skipton today with a mart packed to the rafters with customers looking for tups and 254 different buyers successful in their search for replacement breeding stock.

The evening sale of Blue Faced Liester Rams and Females saw a great turn out of buyer looking to secure quality stock.

Starting with the Continental and Mule breeding sheep saw Blue Texel shearlings selling to £250 from SH TA&M Sutcliffe

Old Hall Farm sale of forage reared females and Innovis performance recorded rams proved a huge success with customers travelling from far and wide

Annual Second Show & Sale of Mule, Continental, Suffolk & Cheviot x Ewes & Shearlings.

CCM Auctions conducted their 2025 opening Fortnightly Show and Sale of Mule Gimmer Lambs. FORWARD: 3650 head at an overall average of £162.75per head (+£10.21)

Another strong entry this week with a trade similar on the week with some outfits looking a shade sharper, top of the trade was  J&J Hemmingway, Ripon with a pen of 5 crop correct texel ewes with twins selling away nicely at £368

1475 Breeding Sheep for todays weekly sale including The Annual May Day Sale of Geld Gimmer Hoggs & Hoggs with Lambs at Foot.

A large entry of Sheep with Lambs for the Weekly Sale sold away very nicely for a more commercial entry after last weeks quality seen at the Easter Show-Sale.

Numbers slightly less on the week with 40 outfits on offer with a super run of strong continental ewes with January and Febuary born lambs making the trip across from A Barrett, Selby.

The largest entry of the season so far was presented at CCM’s Weekly Sale of Sheep with lambs at foot at Skipton on Monday, which included the Early Show & Sale of Pairs of Sheep with lambs at Foot.

With the sun shining this morning a busy ringside was present looking to secure ewes and lambs, more forward on the week as vendors take advantage of a buoyant trade for all classes

The Spring Breeding Sheep Season got off in full swing today with a very good entry penned for sale and a full ringside of customers lined up looking for outfits.

Today was the last Tuesday Sale of the Season. Breeding Sheep will now be sold fortnightly on Wednesdays with Store Lambs

4TH SALE OF GIMMER LAMBS & DALESBRED DAY. Forward: 1084 Gimmer Lambs Overall average £95.19.

The third sale of gimmer lambs saw over 3000 Mule, Masham, Swaledale and Texel lambs forward with once again a super consignment of quality on offer, trade was, as expected, not just as sharp as previous sales following reports from other centres seeing the average down
