farmer and triallist, Llion Harries, that sold for £9000 top call at CCM’s timed online Spring sale in
April, is already making an impact since arriving with his new Canadian owners, Campbell and
Molly Forsyth, and daughter Kaelene, of Eriksdale, central Manitoba.
Kaelene reports: “Jim is doing great and we are still getting to know each other. He’s still learning
my Canadian accent - when I give him a verbal command it’s almost like he turns and looks at
me and says ‘what did you say’!”
Jim has gone straight to work on sheep – the lambing season in Canada is now getting into full
swing - and will gain further experience on yearling calves which go to grass for the summer.
Kaelene also says she will be honing Jim’s practical skills in readiness for field trials later this
year, in the interim gaining further experience at monthly gatherings of an active provincial stock
dog club in Manitoba.
