Flying trade throughout at CCM Skipton Monday market Another busy Monday at Skipton Auction Mart produced flying trade across all sections, none more so than the fortnightly Craven Dairy Auction, when eight fresh heifers from regular vendors all sold readily to a solid overall average of £2,011.

Inaugural Jersey sale at CCM with Kivells breaks records as Laceys dominate The widely anticipated first coloured breeds sale at CCM Skipton did not disappoint, with a new auction centre dairy record price established when the much admired VG88-2yrs headliner, Cherryview Legal M Lacey, was knocked down to an undisclosed buyer for 5,500gns, with her yearling daughter by Citation heading to the same home for 2,200gns. Buyers old and new vied to secure quality stock of all ages and types from both new vendors in the fortnightly dairy sale; as well as long-established regular sellers, and a first-class offering from Howard Blackburn and family, of nearby Storiths, who sold the milking portion of their long established Wharfedale Holstein herd.
