STORE CATTLE - WEDNESDAY 21ST JANUARY PRESS

Same buyer’s clean sweep of prize winners at Skipton young bulls show Skipton Auction Mart’s latest fortnightly Wednesday store cattle fixture featured a special show of young bulls, when the quality on offer was clearly evidenced by a British Blue average of £1,027 per head.

First Saturday Sale of 2015 was a quiet one due to the weather. Forward - 155 Store Cattle; 141 Poultry; 326 Machinery; 299 Reclaim & Salvage & 112 Furniture.

STORE CATTLE - WEDNESDAY 7TH JANUARY 2015

Forward: 1,413 head of cattle Comprising: 332 Young Feeding Bulls, 1028 Bullocks & Heifers, 1 Feeding Cow & 52 Breeding Cattle CCM Auctions conducted their Annual New Year Cattle sale at Skipton on Wednesday where a wonderful entry were keenly contested. In total 1,360 Head of young bulls and store cattle averaged £1,035 per head representing a rise of around £38 on the year. In addition to this there were 52 head of breeding cattle.

STORE CATTLE - WEDNESDAY 7TH JANUARY PRESS

Skipton store cattle opener one of best ever Skipton Auction Mart’s first Wednesday store cattle sale of 2015 had the best possible start when attracting a knockout entry of 1,413 head, an increase of over 300 on last year’s corresponding fixture and one of the highest entries ever seen at the current site. (Wed, Jan 7)

MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 17th DECEMBER 2014. Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle. Forward: 188 Head of Cattle comprising 65 Young Bulls, 118 Bullocks & Heifers and 5 Breeding Cattle. At the final sale of 2014 there was a nice entry of cattle, but more encouraging was the volume of buyers who were all eager for stock. Cattle were good to sell and this bodes wells for the New Year Sale on Wednesday 7th January for which entries already total 1,000 head. Total anticipated entry of 1,250 head.

STIRKS & WEANED CALVES - SATURDAY 6th DECEMBER

MARKET REPORT – SATURDAY 6th DECEMBER 2014. Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle. Forward: 108 head. Comprising: 103 Stirks and Young Store Cattle, 2 Alpacas and 3 Jenny Donkeys. CCM Auctions conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks and Weaned Calves at Skipton on Saturday. A smaller show than last month that were mainly made up of younger types of weaned calves attracted a good company buyers and a total clearance was effected.

MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2014. Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle. Forward: 394 head of cattle, Comprising: 177 Young Feeding Bulls, 210 Bullocks & Heifers, 7 Feeding Cows. A large show of cattle for the time of year met with a packed ringside and most classes were easily cleared to a fast selling trade as feeders look to keep sheds full. Strong bullocks and Heifers were especially well sought after, whilst good commercial heifers rising a year old found plenty of favour at the ringside.

CHRISTMAS SHOW STORE CATTLE - WEDNESDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2014 PRESS

Feeders out in force at Skipton festive store cattle highlight The annual Christmas store cattle shows at Skipton Auction Mart attracted a plentiful turnout for the time of year of 394 head, which were sold at a packed ringside, with most classes easily cleared to a fast-selling trade, as feeders sought to keep their sheds full over the festive period. All prize winners easily made into four figures.

Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle Forward: 429 head of cattle Comprising: 128 Young Feeding Bulls, 3 Grazing Cows, 286 Bullocks & Heifers, 12 Breeding Cattle A great November entry of Store cattle were forward at CCM Auctions Fortnightly Sale held at Skipton on Wednesday. A younger entry of bulls were a decent trade with less of the top end strong stuff in the entry, but quality sold well and commercial types had plenty of bidders. In the stores, good older cattle were dearer than the previous sale, whilst suckled calves were forward in good numbers and heifers found a nice enquiry form a full ringside of buyers. To highlight the crowded ringside, there were 70 successful different purchasers on the day drawn from Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, County Durham, Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Derbyshire together with the usual good contingent of local men.

Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle Forward: 671 head of cattle Comprising: 130 Young Feeding Bulls, 5 Grazing Cows, 518 Bullocks & Heifers, 18 Breeding Cattle CCM Auctions conducted their fortnightly cattle sale at Skipton Mart on Wednesday which included the Annual Autumn Show & Sale of Suckled Bull Steer and Heifer calves (2014 born) together with a prize Show of over year show potential cattle (2013 born). The sale saw a total entry of 663 head, an increase of 117 head from the same sale last year.

Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle Forward: head of cattle Comprising: 84 Young Feeding Bulls, 3 Grazing Cows, 444 Bullocks & Heifers, 15 Breeding Cattle & 17 Pedigree Cattle A busy day at Skipton Mart and another large entry of cattle was penned for sale. Bulls were again a sharp trade and bullocks and heifers attracted the usual large ringside of buyers and proved easy to cash.
