Best bred Texel/ Beltex lambs £115-£125, medium Continentals lean but with frame to gain weight were £95-£105, and the smalls £72-£85.

Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs Forward: 831 Head, Overall av £92.66 A tremendous trade all through today, easily keeping pace with the rise in prime prices with the sale levelling at £92. Lowland lambs were £110 plus for several pens of best quality, whilst stronger framed lambs were £105/£110, nice medium Stores £95/£104 and long keep sorts £84/£94. A few pens of small sorts in the £70’s and late £60’s.

Ryder repeat win as Addingham Sheepbreeders charity lambs highlight nets over £4,000 Addingham & District Sheep Breeders’ Association staged its 14th annual show and sale at Skipton Auction Mart when local farmer Chris Ryder stepped up with the supreme champion for the second year running, a North of England Mule wether lamb which netted a whopping £1,150 when later sold not once, but multiple times in aid of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope. Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs, Feeding and Breeding Sheep Forward: 2,385 Head (Overall av £71.12) A tidy entry of lambs for the last sale of 2020 and trade every bit as good as we had hoped with feeders still clearly keen to secure lambs for feeding into the hogg season, and a super overall average of £71.12 per head which is very comparable to the previous few sales given the increased proportion of hill lambs and many vendors coming towards the end of this seasons lambs.
