Today was the final Tuesday Sale of Breeding Sheep & Rams for this season, a small entry of breeding sheep were forward with Tony Bell selling his run of 2 crop Texel’s from £140-£185. Broken mouthed correct below horned ewes were £35-£65. Cheviot 3 and 4 crop ewes from F Jackson, Whitby sold to £102.

Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs Forward: 7,714 Head, Overall av £81.82 A large entry of sheep for an October Sale and once again trade was fast and furious with all classes matching the demand seen at the previous sale and the average still over £81 for a show including an increased proportion of wintering and hill bred types.

FORWARD: 1798 Breeding Sheep (1663 Gimmer Lambs and 135 Dalesbred Sheep) CCM Auctions conducted their fourth fortnightly sale of Gimmer Lambs at Skipton on Tuesday. A tidy trade ensued with stronger nice runners, either bonny or darker types making £100 plus, medium types on the day £85 to £100 and smaller lambs in the £70’s.
