249 head of cattle forward for a catalogued entry of 235. 78 Black and White bullocks on sale with an average price of £458. Strong 10-11 Month goods £580-£700 with a top price of £750 from M Hutchinson, Halifax. 5/6-month-old goods £300-£350 with some better-bred goods at 7/8 months from regular vendor DP Mitchell selling at £530-£555. Large runs of cattle sold today with plenty of choice for all purchasers. A run of Hereford bullocks and heifers from RD Shaw, Sheffield sold between £600-£640 for heifers and £700 for a pack of 8 Hereford bullocks at 10/11-month-old. Angus steers from the same vendor sold to £750. 6-month-old Angus £510-£610 depending on frame. Angus heifers to £685 from NP&DJ Darwin, Sheffield who also had a tremendous run of dairy homebred grazers in. Blue bullocks a good trade with nice flesh and size making £600-£650 for 7-8 months. Some smaller younger goods £530-£580 and some strong 11-month stirks £680-£705. Blue heifers sold very well with purchasers looking for grazers to make into bulling heifers£760-£790 for a couple of strong goods with average size and fleshed blues 8/9 month £660-£685. Younger goods either side of £500 with frame taking the lead well.

Bulls sold well a top price of £1040 and the same vendor selling goods at £1035 and £1000 all going to a new purchaser from Northallerton. Dairy bred blues sold at £490-£610. Lim bulls sold at £615-£655 for dairy bred goods again.
