Reserve Champion, another british blue calf but this time from Bishop Thorntons, Sowray Brothers sold away for the top price of the day at £460 to Abbott Bros of Dacre.
Blue bulls met a strong trade, not record breaking, but all blue bulls were £400 or over and averaging £417.22. Aberdeen Angus bulls certainly met strong bidding, topping at £305 for a 5 week old bull from Sowray Bros and averaging £250 right through.
Black and white calves a straight trade with the goods on offer with better end of the bulls £90 -£140 with Jim Caygill of Rylstone topping with a breed average of £73.43.
