The Reserve Championship went to Mesrs Cropper and Mellin of Long Preston with their 590kg British Blue heifer which also stood as reserve female champion and sold to regular CCM customers DA Gregory &Sons of Bacup for 360p/kg or £2124.

In the live sheep classes it was the Lancaster Family from Wiswell, Clitheroe that took the supreme championship, their 3 Beltex crosses weighing 41kg sold for £500 each to Sanderson’s Butchers from Baxenden, Lancashire. Hill bred Champions were a pen of 48kg Scotch Blackfaced Wethers weighing 48kg selling for £100 each to RM Helliwell. The new Championship for Best Pen of Untrimmed Lowland Lambs was awarded to AL Thompson and they sold for £160 per head to Kendalls Farm Butchers from Harrogate and Pateley Bridge.

Indoor Section
The popularity of the industrial and cookery section is growing year on year with cakes, pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, sloe gin, apple pies, chutneys and childrens classes. Everything entered was then donated by the exhibtors to be sold in aid of Manorlands Hospice, Brooklands School and The Addington Fund. Fruit Cakes were well sought after, many making £50 to £70 each upto £90. Sloe Gin another sought after commodity with bottles up to £90. Other cakes, pies and produce regularly making £30 to £50 and the tremendous generosity of all involved raised an amount of just over £3000 in total.
