A good entry of 11 Newly Calved Dairies sold to a very solid trade again with our good following of buyers supporting the sale very well today. In the circumstances there was no prize show, but the joint top price of the day of £2000 was first achieved by the first beast in the ring presented by Messrs Blackwell from Gargrave. Calved 14 days and giving 29kg she was purchased by Messrs Blezzard, Ribchester. Messrs DE&MA Booth from Lothersdale again presented 3 Pedigree heifers with some great figures in each family. The first in their run was joint top at £2000 calved 4 weeks and on 30 litres, 2 further heifers from the same home made £1900 and £1800. The last Animal in the ring was a 2nd calver from Ian Parkinson of Barden, calved 10 days and on 30litres it raced away to £1900

Other chief prices £1780 GB Jennings, £1780 RH Close.
