CCM Auctions conducted their Great Annual Prize Sale of Gimmer Shearlings at Skipton on Tuesday. A nice show of sheep were presented to a full ringside of both regular local customers and new customers, some of whom had travelled some distance looking for quality types. Continental sheep were in great demand, especially the good sorts, Texels up £35 on average to stand at £155 across the board. Mule sheep were also better to sell on the year, and a healthy average of £138 was recorded. As a result the overall sale average was £18.24 up on the year to stand at £141.19.
