This price smashed the previous record achieved only an hour before when the Hope flock of Mr and Mrs DW Harries of Carmarthenshire sold their first prize winning shearling ewe and Supreme Champion to H Bailie of Carluke for 2700gns.

Back in the ram lambs Mr L Trumper and Family made the long journey north after their 2017 success with another ‘Border Windrush’ bred charge which sold for 700gns to J Hardman of Windermere with same combination of exhibitor and purchaser achieving another solid performance at 510gns for their ‘Border Windrush’ bred shearling ewe.
