Livestock
A great show of over 200 Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Stores for the May Sale and a packed ringside of customers assembled which meant we could have sold many more than the 202 forward. A few runs of suckler bred types 6mo-9mo found some useful prices and like Wednesday’s sale, the hard bullocks and heifers for grazing were in strong demand as grass supply come’s more abundant. Dairy bred bullocks around 6-7mo regularly in the late 500’s and 600’s with better end into the 700’s, overall offering a bit of something for everyone. Nice to see penfuls of 5-10 head giving buyers chance to match up cattle well.

A good sale with a large line up of items on the carpark. Best of the prices included a Bobcat Skidsteer Loader at £4000, Single Rota Rake at £1080, Vicon Mower Conditioner £1500, Ifor Williams Sheep Trailer 14ft £2300, 2.5m Logic Weed Wiper £1300. Also included in todays sale was a genuine dispersal of farm machinery and implements from F Thomas & Son of Gill Top, Cowling which saw a Khun GMD 55 Mower make £2900, a Khun GA 3201 Spinner make £2750 and mounted drags £1350.
