Craven Dairy Auction (19 head)

A decent show of stock forward though with a couple of punters missing trade was easier compared to previous sales. The champion a beast from Robinsons of Eldroth reached £1950, below par for the stamp of the beast. Keith Downs had the top priced newly calven with a 14 day calved 31litre Heifer reaching £1980 again leaving us short of that illusive £2000 mark. A positive note the Brown Swiss Cow from David Brown, Ramsgill flew away first into the ring to keen supporter Robert Metcalfe, Brearton. Incalf cattle from Mick Corner and John Roberts were a pleasure to sell with an overall average of £1626.
