Trade for lambs today harder than anticipated, meated lambs generally ok, even if a shade harder to sell on the week, but commercial lambs and those just short of flesh were definitely cheaper than recent weeks. Mule lambs also took a knock following last weeks strong trade, whilst a horned lamb generally maintained last weeks trade, especially good lightweights. Top end saw some good lambs around the £100 mark or just over, Charles Marwood selling heavy Charollais lambs to £107, Geoff Booth had Texels at £101, Brian & Lisa Hall sold Beltex crosses at £100 as did Anthony Hewetson. John Beckwith led the per kilo prices at 240p with Beltex crosses.
