Spring Lamb numbers nicely on the increase and they met with a strong trade at the ringside with the overall average up about 10p on the week. Smart sorts 270p to 280p with a top of 292p, commercial sorts 250p to 270p.
In the Old Season Lamb section another big show for mid May sold to a very good trade. Some excellent runs of heavy Suffolk and Continental hoggs selling from £110 to £120 each, as the prices in the report below show. Export weights from 220p to 235p regular away.
Cast sheep would be slightly dearer on the week.

A smaller show sold well. A good full ringside of buyers assembled late in the season and quality Continental sheep sold well for the equivalent of £80 to £100 per life regardless of age. Strong Mule Hoggs with lambs £185 to £205 the outfit, but some with not just the same power at £160 to £180 the outfit.
