MARKET REPORT – ONLINE TIMED AUCTION 1st JULY 2020.
This week, CCM Auctions conducted their first online timed auction of Machinery, Implements, Vehicles, Stone and Reclamation which ran over 2 days and closed on Wednesday evening.
This medium is new to all of us, but the Auction site itself is an ideal place to receive and store items for photographing, cataloguing and viewing by potential customers in one central location prior to bidding, and with over 500 customers registered and approved to bid the sale was swiftly conducted with some furious late bidding received on many lots.
Leading the prices was one of several defenders in the sale, the principle being a 2006/06 Landrover Defender TD5 Truck Cab with 72,000 miles that sold for £9,500. A 2005 McHale 991BE Bale Wrapper successfully sold at £6,600, whilst a Massey Ferguson 165 2 Wheel drive tractor from a local farmer sold at £3,200.
There was a lot of interest in trailers, with a Marshall BC21 Bale Trailer leading the section at £2500, followed by a Marshall 16’ Bale Trailer at £1325, whilst Livestock trailers peaked at £1025 for a 10ft Ifor Williams. Grassland machinery included 2 drum mowers to £720, McCormick Baler to £600 and several grass toppers peaking at £450 and a double bale carrier making £480. The Stone and Reclamation section was widely supported and achieved a virtual total clearance with very satisfactory prices achieved, including a pair of sandstone gateposts making £640 and £440, stone troughs topping at £360, a pair of stone gate post tops made £220, stone archway also at £220, single gateposts to £200, whilst other items successfully sold included stone slates, ridges, gutter caubles, lintels, chimney pots, building stone, driveway blocks etc.
The many smaller items included pressure washers to £140, Honda Lawn Mower £150, Pillar Drills to £60 and Mopeds to £70.
Thankyou to everyone for supporting this first sale online and we look forward to the next one.
