Forward: 688 head of cattle
Comprising: 205 Young Feeding Bulls, 384 Bullocks & Heifers, 35 Breeding Cattle & 64 Pedigree Limousins
CCM Auctions conducted their fortnightly cattle at Skipton Mart on Wednesday. A nice entry of cattle were a shade harder to place than the previous sale, bulls more so than the stores.
Buyers were out in force but more cautious with their bidding, especially for the out of spec older (15mo+) non assured bulls.
In the store section again buyers were plentiful, and yearling cattle for summering found a very good following, with trade positive. The older cattle saw a little more resistance from the buyers, but anything with quality on its side quickly moved into 4 figures.
A decent show of commercial breeding cattle complemented the pedigree Limousins’ and found a receptive audience for outfits to turn straight out to grass.
