MARKET REPORT - WEDNESDAY 28th MAY 2014

Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle Forward: 511 head of cattle Comprising: 136 Young Feeding Bulls, 250 Bullocks & Heifers, 105 Breeding Cattle & 20 Pedigree Bulls. A busy ringside of customers present helped to produce a trade that would be better than expected for the young bulls, and the vast majority of store cattle as well. All cattle were well contested as feeders like to keep sheds topped up and grazers wanting to take advantage of an abundance of grass.

A large entry met with plenty of interest at the ringside as producers looked to secure some of the genuine cattle on offer as the 1st part of Mr John Barnes herd dispersal, whilst other collective entries were nicely sold, Jack Berry t/a JH Throup topping the sale with a Blue Heifer and Bull Calf outfit selling to £2350.
