CRAVEN DAIRY AUCTION

With snow in the air and Spring seemingly a long way off, trade was a little quieter. Judge Tom Dodgson of Bank Newton was on hand to pick a fine champion from Messrs H Downs & Son and a reserve from Mesrs GW&M Coates of Baildon, both easily surpassing £2000. A run of strong incalf heifers from Lincolnshire (Brown Swiss x Holstein) topped at £1400 for a May calver. All in all a touch easier but still plenty of bidders in the dairy department.
