A fantastic full shippon met a hive of activity and conversation pre sale. With an attentive crowd
trade was good with Brian Moorhouse of Bell Busk setting the trade with the first Heifer in the
ring making £2100. The Champion heifer from Jennings Farmers of Fountains a really smart animal
which was giving 26 ltr and got picked up by Stephen Jeanes for £2050. Trade of the day once again
came to David Lawson of Arthington with a number of buyers intent on buying some of
his breeding with Malcolm Kayley and Stephen Jeanes eventually being the final owners with the
top call being £2700 for the 29ltr Reserve Champion. Other notable vendors was Robert Crisp of
Airton averaging £2000+ and a run of 12 from Keith Downs all making notable prices.
Despite a small but quality show of bulls punters remained transfixed on the tremendous bull from R&E Butterfield and the Ingleview herd which reached 1950gns and selling to Robert Metcalfe of Brearton. The 4 Bulls were all sold with an average of 1510gns.
