On Saturday CCM Auctions held their Monthly Collective livestock auction at Skipton Mart where a good entry

of mainly hard outwintered stirks met a good trade from customers looking for grazing cattle. In the bull

section a number of useful entries from low input herds gave buyers the opportunity to buy pens of good

Friesian crosses which sold well.

In the sheep and goat section a tidy entry met with a good enquiry from a full ringside of buyers.

In the breeding sheep section a prize show was held for pens of 5 Ewes with lambs. 1st & 2nd prize being awarded by our judge for the day, Mr Richard Caton, to 2 pens of 5 Texel crosses with Beltex lambs from Mr Thomas Boothman, Linton selling at £214 the outfit and £198 the outfit. 3rd Prize was a pen of Mule Ewes with singles from Phillip Sowerby, Hawes selling at £125. Best Pair of Sheep with lambs were 2 Black Texel cross Hoggs with single lambs from Mr Shaun Richards, Hapton that sold for £176 the outfit.
