MULE GIMMERS - TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2015

Great Annual Show & Sale of North of England Mule Ewe Lambs onbehalf of NEMSA Members. Forward: 7,979 head at an overall average of £90.49 per head (-£9.39 down) CCM Auctions conducted their Opening Fortnightly Show and Sale of NEMSA members Mule Gimmer Lambs at Skipton Auction Mart, North Yorkshire on Tuesday. With the weather for once being kind in the run up to this years sale lambs were shown in fine bloom and were a credit to all concerned. Trade was better than most people anticipated and an overall average of £90.49 per head was recorded, a fall of just £9.39 on the year.

Leading the sale at £250 each was the fourth prize pen of ten from Kevin Wilson of Blubberhouses whose run of lambs selling only 6 men from the end created a huge amount of interest in the sale ring late in the day. It was however Ashley and Rachael Caton and family from Otterburn Lodge who took the honours in the pre sale prize show winning both the classes for ten and twenties, selling for £200 and £195 respectively.

Please Note that entries for The Second Sale of 10,000 NEMSA Mule Gimmer Lambs to be held on Tuesday 22nd September close tomorrow (Wed 10th Sept) at 4pm. The ballot will be drawn immediately afterwards.
