Pedigree Charollais Females on behalf of The BCSS The Foulrice Flock property of Messrs Marwood from Whenby led the way at The British Charollais Sheep Society’s Autumn Sale of registered Charollais Females at Skipton on Saturday 8th October. It was a December 14 born shearling by Foulrice Lightening, a Castellau Krypton daughter out of a Head Master ewe that stood champion for the judge Mr David Roberts from Kenley in Shropshire. Having stood 1st prize ewe at both Ryedale & Kilnsey show this summer, she sold carrying twins to Foulrice Osprey, who was the Great Yorkshire Male Champion for 800gns, to the show judge Mr David Roberts.



Messrs Marwood also took the top price on the day with reserve champion which had previously stood second in class to the champion. A Lowereye Neils favourite daughter out of a Dalby Mount Aloe Ewe, with a top 5% index of 3809, she was scanned carrying twins to Bronwydd Ready to Rumble. She found a new home in Cumbria with Mr R McCartney of Coniston,  for 1,100gns.

Messrs Marwood continued their good day with another Lightening daughter selling locally to Messrs Sandham of East Carlton for 520gns. Cyril Doughertys Shamrock flock had next price of 500gns for a Edstaston Normandy got ewe lamb that had stood first at Malton & Egton Shows. The buyers were Messrs Watson & Sutherland from Clackmannanshire.

1st Prize Ewe Lamb came from the Regen Flock of Don Green. This Wernfawr Nijinsky twin daughter sold for 400gns to JD&V Towers & Son of Farleton.
