ANNUAL SHOW & SALE OF SWALEDALE EWES & GIMMER SHEARLINGS.
Forward: 3,939 head. Overall Average was £104.23.
CCM Auctions conducted their Annual Sale of Swaledale Draft Ewes and Gimmer Shearlings at Skipton Mart on Saturday. An increased show of sheep on last year saw the best end receive a great deal of interest with some good top end prices, however it was a more commercial type of ewe that would see the most disparity in prices on the year as buyers looked to source the smarter end.
The pre-sale show was judged by Mr Ian Lancaster and Mr Robert Tarbatt and prize money kindly sponsored by Windle Beech Winthrop Surveyors and JACS Trade & DIY Warehouse & VG Energy.
