Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle
Forward: 747 head of cattle
Comprising: 245 Young Feeding Bulls, 488 Bullocks & Heifers, 6 Feeding Cows and 8 Breeding Cattle
A busy day at CCM Skipton today with 747 head of cattle presented for sale, representing an increase of 237 head on the corresponding sale in 2015.
The pick of the spring born bulls 350 to 450kg met a very good trade at similar levels to 2015 and an improvement on the opening sale. Continental x average £948 (2015 £949) with a number of new faces at the ringside for the first time this year.
Across in the Store Cattle lines another good show for numbers again attracted buyers from countrywide and trade, like the bulls, was seen to be a shade dearer, especially for yearling cattle, with strong cattle also marginally dearer.
NEXT SALE – WEDNESDAY 3rd FEBRUARY 2016.
800-850 HEAD comprising 250 Young Bulls and 550-600 Bullocks and Heifers
INCLUDING Special Annual Sale of Bulling Heifers.
Entries to Mart Office by Wednesday 27th January
