Feeding Bulls – trade definitely a little steadier in line with factory prices. Heavy bulls were £1000-£1250 with the pick of the trade being 350-400 kilo continental cross bulls which made £900+ throughout the sale.

Feeding Cows – feeding cows a firm trade although no dearer on the fortnight. Just the odd exceptional cow a Pure British Blue at £1680 for JR&DL Ogden destined for an export customer. First cross beef £800-£1000 if meated and any cattle with improvement at grass particularly good to sell.

Stores - Store Cattle up a gear this week! Feeding cattle sold to an active audience with all breeds selling exceptional. A run of Blue Bullocks from D&J Coates sold to a top of £1150. Retail cattle depending on age and size ranged from £950-£1100. Native cattle were met with a high demand for both grazing bullocks and heifers as well as feeding sorts. Strong Angus Steers £1000+ selling to a top price of £1070.

Grazing Cattle selling exceptionally well with farmers looking for numbers, purchasers on the grazing end today looked for frame with age not being a problem. U and R Grade 10-12-Month-old cattle selling above expectations with cattle selling well into £850-£920, best yearling bullocks around £1000+, with O grading cattle not far behind within the £720-£800 region.
