Good quality bulls understandably in short supply but those present were very good to sell, 12-15month bulls in the right spec were as equally scarce and good to sell. Top prices IJ Pratt with a 13 month old Limousin at £1340, JM Townsend 13 month old Limousin bull at £1300. Top price 11monht old bull was JM Townsend with a Lim x at £1250.

Bullocks and heifers sold away to a busy ringside of buyers with all types of cattle well bid for today. Proof of the strong trade right throughout the day was seen with the Penultimate pen in the ring from JA Gardner of Preston who saw his tremendous British Blue bullock reach £1480. Dairy bred cattle met a healthy trade also with pens of three or more bullocks topped by the Naylor family of Langbar with Holstein X British Blue bullocks at £1090 and Brian Blezard of Ribchester saw his 5 British Blue x Holstein Heifers reach £1140. Native heifers saw some impressive prices right through the day with Rob Tennants 14 month old Angus x Heifer selling for £1180 however again it was Mr Gardner of Preston who topped proceedings with his Shorthorn at £1350.
