Another good day in the store ring today with all types of cattle selling away strongly, Young bulls met fierce bidding first thing this morning with Limousin bulls averaging £1012 and topping out at £1200 with an entry from Ben Townend with Paul Fletcher of Siddals farm reaching the same price of £1200 for a Aberdeen Angus Bull.

Grazing Cows out in good numbers again with 42 through the ring with best from Ian Barrett of Braisty Woods at £1170 for a well conformed british blue cow.

Stores continue to sell well with 280 bullocks and heifers well contested with Andy Rigby having the pick of the trade with his impressive Limousin x Blue Heifers topping the day at £1340 with 10 over £1200 (With most going for breeding). Andrew Fawcett of Killinghall raced away with top priced bullocks with three at £1250, three at £1220 and 5 at £1190.

The younger end of the bullocks and heifers also met a buoyant trade with many small turning out types and rougher goods exceeding seller’s expectations.
