879 Texels were on offer today, a real mixed show on hand with small long term sorts getting away tremendous, stronger end £80 to £100, topping £116 for a smart pen from P Johnson. Overall breed average went onto be £74 for the Texels.

The ongoing Strong trade for Mules and Mashams in the finished ring filled buyers hopes for these as the Mashams went onto average £71 and Mules £68, stronger end from mid 70’s to early 80’s.

Swales flew with many buyers forward for the hill breeds. Topping at £60 from A.J Ogden and coming to an overall average of £50 for 211.

Contained within todays sale were 6 lambs sold by Mr John Brotherton of Addingham, who was donating the proceeds to the charitable cause in aid of supporting Luke Mortimer and his family. Luke is a local Skipton lad who has been affected by Meningococcal Meningitis and fund raising is now taking place to help the family move forward. 3 of the lambs sold for £150 each to Andrew Atkinson, Kettlesing and another 3 for £100 each to Dan Towers, Wray.
