The innovative double header is purpose-designed to ensure that both vendors and buyers alike are able to trade in pedigree livestock, shows and sales of which remain suspended due to continuing Covid-19 restrictions.

Peter Woof championship four-timer at CCM Skipton Winter Texel showcase The Stainton flock of Cumbria’s Peter Woof stood supreme champion once again at Skipton Auction Mart’s 2020 pedigree opener, the 27th annual open winter show and sale of Texel females for members of Northern Area Texel Sheep Breeders. 8th WINTER SALE OF IN LAMB PEDIGREE BELTEX ON BEHALF OF THE NORTHERN BELTEX CLUB Forward: 27 head of Pedigree Beltex Mathew Burleigh from Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh again took the championship rosette at the Beltex Sheep Society’s Winter sale of Pedigree females at Skipton Auction Mart on Saturday.

Matthew Burleigh championship hat-trick at CCM Skipton Beltex winter females shows Northern Ireland’s Matthew Burleigh, who runs the Matt’s pedigree flock at Shanra, near Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh, claimed a memorable hat-trick when sending out the title winner for the third consecutive year at The Northern Beltex Society’s eighth annual winter show and sale of pedigree in-lamb ewes at Skipton Auction Mart. PEDIGREE SHORTHORN CATTLE - WENDESDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2019

Beef Shorthorn The Meonside Herd of David and Tom Bradley enjoyed an excellent debut at the Annual Sale of Pedigree Beef Shorthorns held at Skipton. Meonside Hyacinth Misty had previously stood 2nd at the Royal Highland Show and 4th at the National Shorthorn Show before a third prize in todays intermediate junior heifer class. Bred from one of the best breeding cows in herd, Meonside Hyacinth and by Elliot Salute the March 2018 heifer sold for 6000gn to T Staunton of County Galway.

Aberdeen Angus Pedigree Aberdeen Angus females were on parade at CCM Auctions Autumn sale on Wednesday. A leading sale price of 2600gns was recorded for the Carrington Park Time on B7 daughter Yearsley Royal Lady S257 sold with her Bull calf by Rawburn Makka Pakka. She sold to Messrs Robinson Bedale. John Walsh sold Buckhurst Jury Erica S184 which is by Blelack Entertainer, and along with her Bull calf which was by a homebred bull Buckhurst Endeavour itself back to Rawburn Boss Hogg out of the 10000gns Rawburn Ebony, the outfit sold for 2000gns to Messrs Raper, Thorne.

Yearsley herd claims 2,600gns top price at Skipton Aberdeen-Angus females sale The Yearsley herd of North Yorkshire husband and wife, Adrian and Penny Johnson, was responsible for the 2,600gns top price performer at The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society’s second annual autumn show and sale of pedigree females at Skipton Auction Mart. (Wed, Nov 6) It fell to Yearsley Royal Lady S257, an April, 2016, AI son of Carrington Park Time on B7, out of the Blelack Jury daughter, Wall Royal Lady H663, an 11,000gns acquisition by the Johnsons at the Shropshire-based Wall herd dispersal sale in 2011 and who arrived with her bull calf, since well sold into the Cogent breeding programme.

Meonside herd tops at 6,000gns on debut at CCM Skipton Beef Shorthorn highlight Beautry herd wins second consecutive championship A first-time foray south of the border to make its debut at the North of England Beef Shorthorn Club’s 10th annual show and sale at Skipton Auction Mart paid rich dividends for the Meonside herd of Dumfriesshire’s Tom Bradley Farmer when claiming top price of 6,000gns with a prize-winning heifer. **NEW ** SHOW & SALE OF PEDIGREE SUFFOLK FEMALES A solid trader across the board for Suffolk females at Skipton on Saturday when CCM conducted their In Augural Sale. A complete clearance of inlamb sheep topped at 850gns from Pamela Lupton for a Manorhouse Hotspot daughter out of a Rhaeadr Razzle Dazzle ewe, who had show breeding pedigree, which was sold scanned twins to Rhaeadr Jet Set.

SUFFOLK FEMALES - SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2019

Trade sold at inaugural CCM Skipton Suffolk females show Solid across-the-board trade was achieved at a brand-new weekend show and sale for pedigree Suffolk females at Skipton Auction Mart. (Sat, Nov 2) The inaugural fixture made an immediate impact, with a complete clearance of the 17 in-lamb sheep penned for sale, which peaked at 850gns for a shearling ewe from Pamela Lupton’s Kexbeck flock at Greenholme Farm, Galphay, Ripon.

Boothmans lead the way at inaugural Skipton Hereford females fixture The Hereford cattle breed received a timely boost at Skipton Auction Mart with a brand-new weekend show and sale for females. (Sat, Nov 2) Claiming principal honours in the show class for the best haltered heifer on what was their first-ever appearance in the cattle show arena at the mart where they both work were local husband and wife, David and Iris Boothman, of Home Farm, Halton East.

ANNUAL SALE OF RIGISTERED DALESBRED SHEEP - The top price at the Annual Sale of Dalesbred sheep was 780gns paid by John Horner of FW Horner & Son of Buckden for the second prize shearling ram sold by Mesrs T&A Hird of Yockenthwaite. Paul Bowden of Oughtershaw sold a shearling ram for 600gns to Godfrey Haygarth of Wigglesworth who was recapturing some of his old bloodlines. The prize winners all got away well in the ram section and a small entry of good quality females were headed up by a pen of 3 crop ewes from the Coates family from Rainscar at £123.
