CCM Auctions Conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle
A nice entry of Stirks forward with trade solid for most goods with size and sweet goods selling very well. Younger Black and Whites a touch less with buyers wanting more flesh and size with weather conditions.
27 B&WS sold to avg £358. Top price £480 for some 9/10 month old goods from B Hawksworth, Bradfield. 5-6 month old goods selling at £300-£380. Blue Blks sold to a top of £770 from E Pennock & Son, Bolton Abbey. Younger dairy bred blues sold at £600-£650 for 5/7 month old goods. Strong entry of Blue heifers forward with 5/6 month old goods £500-£580 and 8-10 month old goods sold at £660-£700. Angus blks from M Mallinson, Halifax sold to £770 for Suckler bred goods. Lim Suckler steers from the same farming sold at £780-£820 with heifers from the same farming £650-£750. Next Sale – Saturday 5th February
