Sale leader in the Texel section came from noted local vendors Procters Farms when their offering of inlamb shearlings topped at 3200gns. A daughter of Sportsmans Batman from a Teiglum Young gun Dam, she was full sister to the 14k female sold at Ballymena last week. Scanned carrying a single to Llyfni Droog it went to Shropshire with Messrs Lowe.

Procters Farms also sold at 2800gns for another Batman daughter  from a Strathbogie Ya Belter Dam again inlamb to Llyfni Droog for twins going home with Messrs Morrison of Girvan. 5 females form Procters Farms averaged £1953.

Myfyr Evans is a regular visitor to Skipton with stock form the Rhaeadr flocks and his consignment of 4 ewe lambs created a buzz topping at 1300gns for the Brackenridge Crown Royal daughter (lot 33) and selling to H Johnson & S Peel of Harrogate. The consignment from Rheaedr averaged £931.88.

Peter Woofs Stainton Flock saw a good following topping at 700gns for Gyrhos Andy shearling carting a single, and others to 650gn and 600gns. The averages show a very strong rise on the year.

The Blue Diamonds Sale created a buzz in the days leading up to the sale and prices certainly backed up this optimism. Elaine and Issy Hartley from the Pendle flock had two ewe lambs that stole the show both at four figure prices, a Sams Cosmos product at 1100gns to Messrs Wood of Skeen in Aberdeenshire for their sons own flock, and another at 1000gns to Cumbrian buyers A&C Ivinson.
Mark Stephenson sold Ewe lambs at 900gns and 700gns three times, and from the un accredited section Elsa McKechnie sold an inlamb shearling at 850gns. Superb averages across all sections as shown below.
