Trade for all classes very good with buyers out in force. 35 Black and Whites averaged £431. Younger end £370-£450, Mediums £450-£520 and bigger growing end upto £720. Regular consignment of cattle from JK Roberts sold dairy bred Blue bullocks to £730 as-well as DC&EP Sayer. 5-month-old suckler bred bullocks from JA Crocker sold to £600. Blue heifers sold very well with more buyers forward for all sizes. Some 14-16 month goods sold at £800-£830. £680-£740 mediums and £560-£620 for 6/7 month goods. Lowland lambs were £110 plus for several pens of best quality, whilst stronger framed lambs were £105/£110, nice medium Stores £95/£104 and long keep sorts £84/£94. A few pens of small sorts in the £70’s and late £60’s.

Ryder repeat win as Addingham Sheepbreeders charity lambs highlight nets over £4,000 Addingham & District Sheep Breeders’ Association staged its 14th annual show and sale at Skipton Auction Mart when local farmer Chris Ryder stepped up with the supreme champion for the second year running, a North of England Mule wether lamb which netted a whopping £1,150 when later sold not once, but multiple times in aid of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope.
