A flying trade today with prices increased on the week, aided by the weeks’ worth of showery rain and slightly warmer days bringing out more purchasers. Texel Hoggs with singles from E Crisp, Calton selling to £255, £252.

PEDIGREE BREEDING CATTLE Top price of the day at the Craven Native Day was 2000gns ‘Yearsley Royal Lion’ a well grown Rawburn Jackson Eric son bred from one of the Yearlsey herds best cow families Yearlsey Royal Lady and shown by TA&P Johnson from Brandsby selling to Robert Gemmell.
