More solid midweek trade for Skipton cattle
Skipton Auction Mart’s latest fortnightly midweek cattle sale produced another firm trade for the 663 head forward. (Wed, June 10)
As usual, almost all – 646 in total – were feeding cattle, with the 392 store bullocks and heifers meeting a flying trade, all entries aged 16-months and older averaging £1,041.
The starring role fell to a pen of 11 Limousin-cross heifers from Andrew Rigby, of Slaidburn, which sold from £1,200 to a top of £1,580, with others at £1,560 and £1,550 twice, the Rigby consignment averaging £1,414.
